Nobody speaks. Everybody watches. A flamethrower waits nearby. One survivor even laughs nervously. The tension starts breaking. ⸻ 2-4s — REVEAL The next plasma sample suddenly jumps. Not much. Just a twitch. Everyone freezes. Then— The sample launches off the table. Screaming. Moving on its own. Pure panic. ⸻ 4-7s — CHAOS Everyone immediately backs away. The owner of the plasma looks confused. Then his chest caves inward. His ribs begin moving. Cracking. Breaking. Rearranging. Crash zoom. His ribcage unfolds outward like giant spider legs. ⸻ 7-10s — THE THING His body expands violently. Jaw splits. Neck stretches. Limbs bend backward. The creature erupts across the room. Tables flip. Equipment explodes. People are screaming. One survivor grabs the flamethrower. ⸻ 10-13s — PAYOFF Bullet-time moment. The transformed creature launches toward the group. The flamethrower ignites. A wall of fire fills frame. The creature screams. Fire engulfs the room. The survivors dive for cover.
